Premier Aussie Specialist
Behind the Scenes as a Premier Aussie Specialist
As a Premier Aussie Specialist, I belong to one of the most highly regarded groups in the travel industry. It takes ongoing commitment, in-depth learning, and firsthand experiences to maintain this designation—and it’s something I’m incredibly proud of.
One of the highlights of being part of this community is attending the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE). Each year, ATE brings together hundreds of tourism suppliers from across Australia—boutique lodges, eco-adventures, Indigenous cultural experiences, luxury city hotels, expedition cruise lines, and more. Over four very full and very focused days, I meet face-to-face with these passionate operators to discover what’s new, what’s trending, and what truly sets their experiences apart.
For me, ATE isn’t just about collecting brochures or sitting through presentations. It’s about building relationships, asking the right questions, and understanding the little details that will make a trip unforgettable for my clients. From the logistics of accessing remote destinations, to which wine region pairs perfectly with a coastal escape, to the hidden cultural gems only a local would know—I gather knowledge that I can bring back and match to each traveler I work with.
It’s an intense week—think back-to-back meetings, networking events, educational seminars, and sometimes even hands-on experiences. But the reward is immense: I leave with fresh inspiration, deeper connections, and a renewed toolkit of ideas to design tailor-made Australian journeys that simply can’t be found in a brochure or on Google.
Being part of this esteemed group and participating in ATE is one of the ways I ensure that when you travel with me, you’re not just visiting Australia—you’re experiencing it in the most authentic, innovative, and luxurious ways possible.
